Some more intel on Friday night's UTL camp...

We had eyes and ears out on the field at DKR on Friday night at the Under the Lights camp. One of those sources checked in with an update and shared these observations...

"Gentry looks awesome. He is what you think of when you see an future NFL quarterback. He definitely passes the eyeball test. Speed of game was a little fast for him at first but he turned it up. Arm is already as strong as Ash's. Has nice zip on the passes. Not as vocal as you would like but that will come. If he was the Texas backup right now I wouldn't mind."

"Kai Locksley looks great and moves well. Can tell the kid is an athlete and a coach's son. Really liked the way he threw the ball. He isn't nearly as physical-looking as Gentry but would love to have him as a commitment also. Hearing it's really down to his Dad/Maryland or us,"

"Athlete from Burton looked really raw and needs some weight but he will be a beast. Heard he Is all Texas."

"Killeen kid was a monster physically but not in great shape. Was gassed just doing the warmups."

"Really really tall TE prospect. Kid can catch - if he gains some weight he is another basketball player turned football that with weight training can completely dominate. I think his last name is Cheatum - under the radar kid."

"Everyone is really pumped about Malik coming in next week. I mean really pumped."

Not sure if that is 3 different prospects or just one. . .names might help

But. . . . .NFL today was talking about Jimmy Graham and how he uses his size and BBall skills to be so effective. . .. love me some basketball players converting to football. . . ..also, heard that Jake Oliver is going to make lots of noise as a "big WR/pass catching flex end" type. . . he's very good at those skills. ..

I am pumped about Jefferson coming in right away.  He must have gotten some great reports from other recruits he is talking to.

He was tweeting on Friday night back and forth with other recruits, and he asked two of them to call him.  At the time, I didn't think much of it.  One of them may have been Lodge.
