Some good news, non-UT related

The McMurry coach at the time Badboy783 visited was Houston Texans QB Case Keenum's dad. I actually thought he was a pretty cool guy from my conversations with him.

One thing I noticed on our initial trip there last spring . . . the basketball/athletic complex there was built via donations, in large part.

While touring, I noticed that the grand poo-ba room where all the important folks meet and greet was built via donations from a group of UT-exes, a couple of whom were big time football players at UT. I remember a tear coming to my eye when I first saw that. UT has some extremely compassionate and generous folks in it's ranks.

That's him. You are the only one who's ever pointed that out that when I've said he was a prick lol. He was honest with me and I was honest with him and I think that's all you can really ask from a coach. I spent 2 weeks there in the summer, throwing to recievers who were in town and doing some summer conditioning. I got home sick really quick and it really wouldn't have been a good decision for me. At the time McM was D-3 so they couldn't offer scholarships. However they were able to provide some different grants to some of the players based on economic eligiblity from what I was told.

Some people are cut out for the small town college life. It was a completely different culture than I was used to. Plus I may not be remembering it all that well since it was over a decade ago lol.
