I'm also at a loss to explain how any defensive players in TX don't want to come here first - mind boggling. Offense? I get that because that unit hasn't proven anything yet and the jury's still out on Watson and the strategic direction.

Agree.  It has to be demoralizing and tiring to a defense when the offense is so inept with 3 and outs, TO's, etc.  Its still very early but I expected our DL/LB recruits to be the bright spot for the class.

IMO SEC mantra and propaganda has hurt our recruiting.  I believe last year Daylon Mack or his parents mentioned something about wanting him to play defense in the SEC.

RD, if you hate mediocrity, quit posting the same tired drivel. You don't sway anyone, just bore and annoy them. Actually do some work, dig up some facts and provide an interesting premise rather than pounding away with half truths hoping that someone will agree with you.

Believe it or not, you have a reasonably intelligent audience here (unless you offend until we ignore you). It's necessary to prove your point. It will not be accepted at face value. Take my advice or leave it because I really don't care, but it is pretty solid.

And, quit repeating yourself. That doesn't help your case, not at all. This isn't 'all about you'. It's about Texas sports. Get over yourself. You sound like a 15 year old.

With all due respect Java.  This is a forum.  Everyone has their own opinions and each of us have a right to post their thoughts.  No need for personal attacks.  

Early last year when I questioned Swoope's abilities and leadership I was raked over the coals by a slew of people on here.  Some even called me an ag.  LOL

We are all fans of our beloved horns.  It would be boring if everyone agreed with everyone else on the common "My horns can do no wrong" mentality.  

As far as recruiting its still very early but the lack of commits of some key targets from Owens, Jones, etc is concerning and has to be since our DL/OL depth is thin.

Personally I tired quickly of the "I'm right you are wrong and if you don't agree with me you are an idiot" style of posting.

Great writers like Scipio can pull that off because they have both the wit and intellect to do so but the constant drum banging/I'm a better fan that you are style is boring.   But I don't read Scipio regularly because of it .. . . the style is boring even if Scipio is extremely clever.

Thanks very much. This guy is now over at HornFans posting under the name Meadowlark - even uses the same icon. I read his first post over there a couple of months ago and quickly put him on "Ignore."

cheese, I love Scip's writing.  He is very clever, and his vocabulary is something to behold.  When he, PhxHorn, and SLXpress were sitting at a table engaging in a discussion, it was really something of a vocabulary lesson to us mere mortals.  I loved it.

I prefer to read all perspectives even the unpopular ones then draw my own conclusion.
