***Series Thread: Northwestern vs Texas***

Bottom 7

Clemens- Lines a single into RF. Extends his hitting streak to 9 games

Northwestern going to the bullpen. Tommy Bordignon the new pitcher

Zubia- Strikeout looking

Petrinsky- Strikeout swinging

Reynolds- Line-out to CF

After 7 complete, it's 5-2 Northwestern

Have periodically checked in on Texas baseball this season.  Not impressed with our hitters.  No timely hits, poor at bats.  Also have seen too many guys thrown out stealing this year.

Top 8

Erro- Flyout to RF

Bourbon- Flyout to LF

Lind- Slow roller that is barehanded by Petrinsky with a strong throw to first. Great play.

0-7 with RISP (10 LOB)

Had multiple guys on in the 3rd and 4th, but couldn't get the big hit.

Fire Pierce!

Top 9

Claeys- Reaches on an E5. Reynold’s throw goes wildly past first. Claeys moves up to 2nd and is pinch ran for by Charlie Maxwell

Dunn- Soft lined to RF that Shaw dives for and misses. Dunn gets to 3rd with a triple. 6-2 Northwestern

Kaplan- Lineout to Hamilton

Jack attempts a suicide squeeze, but Sawyer flips a toss home to McCann, who applies the tag for out 2.

Jack then promptly steals 2nd to get in scoring position.

Back to the drawing board tomorrow. DH
