• Hansen ranks 1st in the Big 12, and is 13th nationally, in strikeouts.

OU - redshirt-Senior, RHP, Robert Tasin (5-1, 1.69)

• Tasin made an in-season switch to starter and is 2-1 with a 3.26 ERA (4 starts).

TEXAS-OU SERIES

• Texas leads the all-time series against OU, 143-53-2.

• In 2014, the Sooners set an all-time home attendance mark for a three game series, but the OU crowd watched a three game sweep by the Longhorns in Norman.

• The Longhorns have won 16 of 19 Big 12 series against the Sooners (1997 was also Augie Garrido’s first year at Texas).

TEXAS NOTES

• Texas is 13-4 at The Disch, and has played their best baseball at home. The Horns are scoring two more runs/game (5.8/3.8) at home, and the staff ERA is just 1.87.

• The Longhorn bullpen has a 2.03 ERA in 150 2/3 innings pitched.

• Late in games, the Horns are outscoring opponents 54-4 (7th & 8th innings). Texas is 13-0 when leading after seven frames.

• Brooks Marlow ranks third in school history with 601 assists. He trails career leader Spike Owen by 78.

OU NOTES

• The Sooners are 22-13 overall and 6-3 in Big 12 play.

• Five OU players are hitting .300-or-better. The offense is led by Kolbey Carpenter (.354), a two-time Big 12 Player of the Week. Carpenter ranks first on the club with six home runs and a .577 slugging percentage.

• Oklahoma is 2-3 against ranked opponents, including 2-2 against top-10 teams (Note: both wins came against No. 10 Texas Tech).

• The Sooner pitching staff leads the Big 12 with 315 strikeouts. Their 9.02 K’s per nine innings is also tops in the conference. OU pitchers have combined to strike out 10-plus batters in 19 games.

I am pleased this series is at home for the Horns. 

This would be a great time for the Horns to rebound and turn things around.  Horns will have their work cut out for them - ou looks to be hitting the ball very well and the 3 pitchers the Horns face have pretty good to very good ERA's.

Hope the Horns remember ou was CRUSHED by okie lite the other day 24-2.  Pokes got 3 TD' s & FG and sooners only mustered a safety.

French and the Horns really need to take this first game tonight.
