Soooooooooo........... your gut reaction Final Four picks?

Not my definite Final Four picks, but currently mine are Arizona, Duke, Michigan St, and Florida.

Agree with three, but would take Louisville over Duke.

SMU's resume was better then NCState IMO. They should have been chosen over NCState. SMU had some nice wins and some bad losses. NCState had some bad losses and really only one good win.
SMU had wins over rpi 20, 21, 21, 33 vs. 5 losses in the top 40.

NC State had 16, 39, 42, 54, 78, 96 vs. 8 losses in the top 40.
Still 6 wins vs. 4 wins

SMU lost to Houston in the 1st round of the conf. tournament and NC State made it to the Semi of their conference tournament in which the ACC is a higher rated conference that the AAC.

Vitale thinks New Mexico will take out Kansas if they both make it that far.

ASU is a good matchup for us.

And Michigan is overrated as a 2 seed (but so are we at 7)

Still think SMU deserved it over NCState.

NCState has some bad losses. Lost to North Carolina Central, Miami and Clemson. Really only ended up with one quality win against Syracuse and a decent win against Tennessee . They made a run in a down ACC tournament, and only beat one decent team in the tourney (and that was against a Syracuse team that's really been struggling). Finished the season at 21-13.

SMU really only has two bad losses against USF, Temple and Houston. They have nice wins against UConn x2, Cincy, Memphis. They finished 23-9, 2 more wins and 4 less losses than NCState.

Sex v. Mexican Food will be an epic matchup

"Everything mentioned about ASU is accurate. Will say that our 5'10 point guard is one of the best in the country and is absolutely electrifying. Pound for pound he might be the most athletic guy in the gym. He is a bit unseasoned (sophomore) and thinks he is superman sometimes so shot selection and passing is questionable. Our 7'2 center Bachynski is one of those guys who can be very successful if he plays within himself. He is the all-time leading shot blocker in the Pac-12 which is pretty impressive. Of course he leads the nation in that category. Many ASU fans suspect that this team quit on Sendek a couple of weeks ago and are ready to fire our head coach. We win 20 games often but in more of an SMU kind of way. This year we scheduled up and in our non-conference played UNLV, Marquette, Texas Tech, Miami, and Creighton. Unfortunately UNLV, Marquette, and Miami decided to not be very good this year. We lucked out because the Pac-12 has improved dramatically over the past few years and there are no easy games. I really hope that our kids show up and give you guys a game but most Sun Devils feel like this will be a one and done tournament for us. Looking forward to a good game!"

"ASU no doubt has talent but this is a game Texas should win. Bachynski has surprised some teams with his athleticism but you are right that he may struggle against more talented bigs. He is a frustrating player.. He has games where he looks like a solid NBA first round pick and still others where you question if he is into it and wants to play basketball. He is more of a defensive asset but does score in double figures. He held his own against UofA in Tempe but we are one of those programs who can beat anyone at home and lose to anyone on the road. We benefited from the transfer rule by bringing in Jermaine Marshall who is an athletic guard that transferred from Penn State. He can score from all over the floor but decided to disappear the past couple weeks of the season. The other transfer Shaq McKissic can really fly for a 6'3 guy and helps anchor our back court. He also can get to the hoop. In a few of our bigger wins, Jahii Carson was NOT the go to guy and it was more about his defense and ball handling that helped us win. He is far more than just a scorer but he can be fun to watch.

My prediction:

Texas 82

ASU-75"

Not to mention, Texas is 5-6 in their last 11 and looks to be struggling.

Baylor is like 9-2 in their last 11 and is playing lights out.

Baylor is playing better ball right now and deserves the SA region over us.

Yeah I saw that. Ridiculous but I guess it's about right now, not the past. Frustrating.

Crazy stat. Of 33 games so far this year, Texas played 18 games against NCAA tournament teams. That's crazy. That means over half the games have been against tournament teams.

I don't think A&M fans realized how bad their basketball team was this year.

They played 5 games this year involving tournament teams, 2 included Tenn. who barely made the tournament. They were barely .500 with an atrocious schedule.
