Scrimmage notes

[utisdabomb12]

These are the tidbits posted on 247.

-The defense apparently dominated.
-Ced Reed had an interception
-All three freshman DBs apparently had a good day. This is part of the reason I don't think we overload on DB's in this class because we got 3 good ones last class (that's my opinion not 247).
-The scrimmage started with a goal line drill.

More notes from 247 on the scrimmage.

-Ced Reed had a 40 yard interception returned for a TD. It came off Swoopes.

-Colbert also had an interception. The QB wasn't named who threw the interception.

-Reed and Malcom Brown apparently dominated the scrimmage.

-Jake Oliver had a 45 yard TD reception from Ash.

-John Harris had a TD reception from Swoopes.

-The offense struggled at times. Bedford blitzed a lot and sent multiple rushers.

-The offense looked better towards the end of the scrimmage in 2 minute.

-Heard had limited snaps. Looks like Strong wants to redshirt him.

-The defense did a good job containing the RBs.

-Foreman looked good.

-Shipley didn't participate in the scrimmage.

-Warrick and Foreman were apparently the best 2 receivers.

-Beck might be staying at TE. He apparently looked good.

-The starters on the OLine from left to right are Estelle, Flowers, Espinosa, Perkins and Harrison.

-Brown and Reed owned the scrimmage.

-Cobbs is getting some 1st team reps.

-Edmonds looks good.

-The secondary looked good. A lot of man coverage.

-Nick Rose was "money" kicking field goals.

-Russ was a little inconsistent punting wise, but most of his punts were into the wind.

IMO at the end of the season the 3 starters at WR will be Shipley, Warrick and Foreman. Warrick and Foreman are the type of receivers Strong likes.
