UPDATE: The Football Brainiacs are reporting Hudson is on campus at Oklahoma right now. Still trying to confirm, but this one is sending everyone in the industry in circles. The family told Texas they would be visiting this weekend and nothing was said about Oklahoma. Weve confirmed he's at Oklahoma.

UPDATE: Small update: In talking to some folks, the messages are mixed on Hudson. A couple of people say they aren't expecting Hudson to be on campus today, while others tell us it could be today or tomorrow. Bottom line, I've never claimed to have a great line to Hudson. We will keep monitoring and checking in, but prepare for info to be all over the place. Texas fans should still feel very confident here. I'm not sure how much more Hudson needs to see since he had a killer official in January.

UPDATE: We've confirmed with a source close to Hudson that the Silsbee offensive lineman will be on campus today.

As I've said in the past, information on Hudson is extremely hard to come by. The Silsbee offensive lineman keeps his circle tight, and though I've been working the phones last night and this morning we haven't learned much. Here is what we do know.
1) We reported last week in Burnt Ends that we were hearing Hudson was going to go ahead and enroll at Baylor. Circling back to that report, our belief was that if he did not receive a release from the program by the time summer 2 rolled around he would report to Waco. Obviously the release came and he decided to move on.
2) A&M tried desperately to get Hudson on campus this weekend before the dead period took place and were unable to. They are out of the race at this point. To land Hudson they would have had to overcome incredible odds due to the fact that Hudson had some bad experiences with the Aggies early in his recruitment. There were some trust issues there between him and the A&M staff, especially Kevin Sumlin.
3) We are trying to chase down a report that Hudson will be in Austin today. Credit to a member of this board DBOOK23 who said this would happen. As soon as we get confirmation on this we will let you guys know. We think Texas is the heavy favorite to land the elite offensive lineman, but if he makes it campus that will obviously indicate that this one is close to ending.
4) We are trying to determine if Texas has an interest in Kam Martin. We were told that Kam would love to be in Austin, but he immediately took off for Auburn and TCU, and the Horned Frogs are now considered a strong darkhorse to land the Port Arthur speedster inside recruiting circles.
5) Per Bud Elliott of SB Nation recruiting, JP Urquidez and his mother are on the way to Austin. Texas could have themselves a new player in just a few hours. Stay tuned for more.
