Santa bring you something nice?

Wife got me a 10 day trip to Scotland for golf with my usual foursome! 8 rounds at the motherland of the sport, including the Old Course and Muirfield! It's not until the summer time, and the wait is going to kill me like this damn coaching saga, but it checks off a major item on my bucket list.

You win

I envy you so much right now!
I'm very fortunate. She understands my passion for golf and need for time with my golf buddies. This year she took me to Pebble for my 40th birthday plus sent me to the Masters with the same friends I'll be going to Scotland with.

We bust are butts together in a very successful practice and give to each other generously, including time with our own friends.

My wife is truly my best friend, which makes it easy for both of us not to monopolize one others free time.

Just being able to be with all the family this time of year, without all the stress of every day life, is such a blessing.

Also my son's very first Christmas, which made it extra special. Santa was extremely generous to him and my daughter.

The joy of watching the kiddos enjoy all their new stuff...
^^THIS^^

My 6 yr old heard about a Gold Star Wife (Spouse KIA) and her kids getting their house broken into. She insisted on me calling up Santa and giving her presents to the other kids instead. You want to talk about a proud daddy, that girl had me in tears. I took my extra "bail money" and spent half on even more presents for my daughter and a nice size gift card for the family. I couldn't help but spoil the CRAP out her after that. I thought it was well deserved.

...i'm single!...

so i purchased myself a new "sharp aquos 80 inch screen" to watch my "horns" even better. also, i'll be departing afghanistan for dubai, uae... therefore, i shall get to enjoy a small shopping spree at one of my favorites stores... "harvey nichols" at the "mall of the emirates". then, i am on my way home..... see you at the "alamo dome" horn sports.

....an Andrew Luck autographed rookie card,......
What a coincidence. Whichever one of you opened first, must have had a good LOL (u got him a card too, yes?)

I am typing on my brand new HP machine. Have to learn Windows-8 now, no more excuses.

I also got a wireless PC-to-HDTV device. I don't have CSN (the local network that broadcasts the Astros/Rockets). To see them, I have to use one of the bootleg web broadcasts. So now I can throw the game up on my LCD TV at least. It's not ideal, but it works.

Also excited about my FitBit Flex - which you wear on your wrist and it monitors basically all your activity, even sleep.

Lastly, my niece, who is like my daughter, just graduated from college (with honors!) and leaves for London in 2 days. She has turned into a great person and we all had great fun with all of that.

Great holiday this year.

Kind of you to ask.

LOL, I did chuckle. Yes, he got a card too but hasn't received it since I was tardy with my holiday shopping. It's coming in the mail sometime this week. He's in Orange County celebrating the holidays with his family anyways. I'll meet up with him in Los Angeles next weekend before heading back up to San Francisco.

Great gifts you got! How is the Fit Bit? I heard great reviews, better than Fuel Band. I was considering buying one but don't know if it'll be beneficial to me since I do Cross Fit.

All I can tell you so far is that it claims during my 2-hour "nap" today (I was up late last night), I was really only asleep for 37 minutes!

OK, for those that know me this is going to be a little wierd.

My 76 year old Mom gave me a Still.

Yes, a Still. As in a complete Home Brew setup. Vats, barrels, coils, the whole enchilada. This is for Beer but dang, it's still a .... Still.

From my Mom. Yes, my brother helped her get all the stuff from Austin Beerworks, but I'm still a little flabbergasted. I am a Beer Snob, I grant you but I'm not a huge drinker. I rarely have more thn one Bee a day. Granted I drink spensive types of Beers but.....

So who wants to help me Home Brew? Anyone here ever Home Brew?

With the exception of my mother who passed away 3 years age this was the first time in 4 years the entire family has been together for Christmas. That unto itself was enough of a gift but on top of that my wife got me a new Webber grill.

I immediately flashed to Raylan Givens.
FYI, starts Jan 7.

I thought, "where do I know that name?" So, I had to google it. Silly me, I LOVE that show! I've only seen a few episodes but have almost all DVR'd. BTW, I've auditioned twice for Justified in Shreveport but haven't worked on I yet.
