What coaches or asst coaches do you know that CAN defend the spread . Especially asst. coaches which we could being on board.Saban had big trouble with A&M and Auburn. Briles seems to be in the same boat. I don't know that much about Fisher can any of you chime in.

Stanford does just fine vs the spread. They can't stop conventional very well, however.

Genius Kirby Smart hasn't figured it out. Red shirt freshman QB ate his lunch last year and this year running the spread.

Well he builds his entire program to compete against SEC style of play which is greatly different than the Big 12 (KSU might be the outlier.) Just look at the success A&M and Mizzou have had against SEC conference foes. You get the right supporting staff in, if Saban decided to make a move to Texas, he would be able to do well.

I've said this a million times and will probably bump my thread from a couple weeks ago where I mentioned how he has been extremely fortuitous to draw the teams that he has (except for us, but once Colt went down all bets were off).

In fact, I'll just go bump my brilliant thread now.
