It has to be Oregon, IMO. How do you leave out Bama after just beating Georgia? You don't.

The CFP committee is making this confusing for people by having Oregon ranked ahead of Texas and Bama when they shouldn't be based on current results. See below.

Wins against teams ranked in the CFP top 25 this past week:
Texas-3
Oregon-1

Wins against teams with winning records:
Texas-5
Oregon-2

SOS:
Oregon - 65th
Texas - 9th

CFP ranking: 6) Oregon 7) Texas
^ this doesn't make any sense by the CFP committee
I think Oregon avenging their loss to Washington will be enough to get in over bama.

Let's just hope it doesn't come to this, bc in the scenario above, it's likely that whoever we beat in the B12 CCG isn't going to be nearly as impressive as wins over Washington and Georgia.

We may get the shaft in this scenario, tbh.

Texas doesnt have much on its schedule to improve its position and impress the voters. 0U losing twice REALLY hurt UT's chances. and, yet, 0U could very well end up in the CCG -that's how bad the B12's schedule is. Even with that, we should hope 0U makes the CCG since they are the highest ranking B12 team after Texas. Texas could impress with a revenge win over 0U in the CCG, but nothing else really moves the needle.

Texas' one loss to a now 2-loss 0U is not nearly as impressive as it looked a couple of weeks ago

the B12 schedule was so week this year that UT or 0U really needed to run the table to be assured a CFP selection.

Yup.

This is why I was saying we wanted OU to keep winning but people will get mad at you on here for that. We then needed Ok St. to keep winning and they blew it against UCF. We probably don't have a chance to earn another top 10 win in the Big 12 championship and that may bite us.

That's what he said. What he was thinking was, "Why would I want to move to a mid-level SEC school?"

It's interesting that he isn't being at all evasive, which could have potentially gotten him a raise. I guess it makes for a more compelling sales pitch to recruits.

If aggy ends up getting turned down by all of the big names being thrown around, and then ends up with a coach without much of a resume, then that historic buyout is going to look silly.

unfortunately TAMU set their own bar, to paraphrase the old joke"...we have identified what you are, now we are just negotiating the price. " they are going to be stuck at the current market rate if the want to prove they are a Top Tier program....and as stupid as they are they will probably negotiate with a Jimmy Sexton client once again

and this is why we are leaving the Big 12. With 5 "major" conferences, there was always at least 1 conference that was going to be left out.

Just win. That's all I ask. Let the chips fall will they may.
