Translation: I will not pursue the job opening, but I will be open to it if they come to me.

Or Why would I go there when I have a better chance of winning this conference once Texas and OU depart next year?

Yeah, not pursuing doesn't seem like much of a statement. If he wanted to shut down all speculation he would have made a definitive statement,  that he has no interest in the job

The thing is if a coach is doing well and wants a raise,  then he needs to open the door to other potential schools.

Is Michigan State even a better job than K-State?

Pretty ideal situation for Klieman right now with OU and Texas leaving.

Michigan State is 2x the enrollment, and 1.5x the stadium capacity. Being in the B1G implies more resources. The B1G is probably easier to recruit into, similar to the SEC recruiting advantage.

I think both schools are hard places to win at. I suspect K-state fans may be easier to please.

I could be wrong, but I would think most coaches would take the M-State job over K-state.

Nice advantage for them this week, going up against a pretty hapless program probably allows them some extra time to prep for next week.

Definitely going to try and watch it.

OU would've been in trouble last week if Cincy had anything at QB.

Definitely going to try to watch their game, even if it's a replay later on.

Maybe Iowa State can at least fluster Gabriel and their offense.
