Who is left that would be decent additions?
I think all of the remaining big time programs that could be considered are tied up in very long grant of rights deals.

I think the alliance is not very interesting from a scheduling or per school payout perspective, but what they hope to do is get a playoff arrangement that limits the amount of teams and money that one conference can receive to try to blunt the SEC advantage.

Personally I think 16 teams is a really good number. Allows a very nice 9 game schedule with 4 pods where you play teams in your pod every year and the other teams every other year. Plus it gives you the potential of a 2 rounds of SEC championship. If you go to 20 teams then the scheduling gets much harder and it's very difficult to play all the out of pod teams every other year.

Which of those teams would actually leave the ACC. ACC is an easier path to the playoff for all of them.

I'm actually surprised a little that OSU and WV aren't approached by the SEC to round out two 9 team divisions. An added benefit would be seeing a few SEC games in my neck of the woods each year.?
