Not really directed at you Mark, but no one cares. Unfortunately it's become the norm. Us old school cats have to get used to the fact that times have changed. It absolutely would not surprise me if he does shut it down. The narrative on him is starting to change and unless he feels like he has a legit shot at the Heisman, I see him packing it in. His teammates understand his position and would absolutely trade their right arm to switch places. And I promise NFL scouts won't care. The team who drafts him only cares that he can come in and win games sooner rather than later. I personally think it stinks but it is what it is...

That is the illusion and very short-sightedness. You don't want them to have any success because that comes back to bite Texas in the butt - now and in the future. Never pull for OU.

You could also say it is short sighted to enjoy them losing to UCF in October and that working to keep Texas out of the CFP.

Also, how fun will it be to crush their CFP hopes by beating them in the Big 12 championship game. I'd prefer that over beating Kansas again.

I didn't think they would call it for the facemask part but did think they would call it for "launching". Not that I agree with it but it was not nearly as bad as the one called on Overshown last season against the UTSA qb.
