**Running College Football Updates Thread**

Wow, you can take the person out of College Station, but not CS out of the person.

Was talking to a colleague and these were his exact words:

"Things will turn around soon. The 3 losses they have are respectable. Each one of those teams are at the best they've been in decades (I'll repeat it in case you thought you read that wrong) the best they've been in decades".

Me: "Well, Texas beat the best ever Bama team this year"

Him: "Bama was a shell of what they are now".

Me: "What about the Miami loss last week to a weaker team"?

Him: "I gotta run".

I was stunned at the stupidity.

There's a reason those players were in the portal, and, more often than not, the reason is not a good one.
Exactly, I understand Sanders is a draw for some of them, but mostly they are shopping for a fresh start at the best available school. If Colorado being the best available school implies either a lack in potential, or some red flags.

you are so right including those that used their extra covid year, some of these guys are on their sixth year of eligibility plus they are now men playing against kids

Oregon, despite losing to Washington?

What about OU? Could the Big 12 put two in the CFP in their final year of being relevant?
Strangely enough, the ACC probably has the best chance at 2 teams in the playoffs. UNC and fsu could both be undefeated going into the CCG. However, I don't think any conference will get 2 in this year unless all hell breaks loose.

The college football sicko in me would love to see Iowa have a shot in the B1G title game.

Dead freaking last in offense.

I guarantee if Texas gets to the CFP or somehow the National Championship game they will mysteriously come up with the money. The Aggies have real deep pockets but they are cheap, they are praying that someone else buys out their failure, my brother is an Aggie MD and dont ever tell them they cant afford something, a lot of their money is in oil family trusts

I'm most interested to see if they try to fire him for cause since we all know what happened with the 2022 class.

I agree, though, that something like Texas getting into the playoff would cause so much red ass envy that they'd likely do something completely over-the-top (i.e. Jimbo's contract) AGAIN to try and prove they belong in the top tier of college football.
