Kansas qb still out and Dillon Gabriel back?
The Kansas backup is just a tad below the starter. They didn't drop off much when he entered the game. He was their starter last year.

OU's only chance is with Gabriel back. It will be interesting to see the battle of their wishes vs medical science this week.

Venables quotes about Gabriel being held out after the game were interesting. Seemed like he didn't agree with the decision and was pretty frustrated by it.

Seems like he was at least close to playing against us and will probably be good this upcoming week.

Because of possible litigation in future cases, I think we will see less and less Dr's willing to sign their name at the bottom of a document proclaiming that a player is fit/unfit to play football due to concussion like symptoms. There are hundreds if not thousands of ambulance chasers ready to file lawsuits against universities and professional franchises especially with NIL dollars involved

I'm betting they still lose.

I think they are married to BV for at least another year. I'd expect Nebraska to pursue Rhule or at lease inquire.
Agree on Neb.  However, I wonder if Matt will take a year off to regroup and gather perspective.  He does have 40mill in his back pocket and, depending on his contract, portions of that money may be tied to new jobs.

Find an island somewhere and relax for a couple of months is what I would do right now.

Other than Baylor and a year at UCLA, Matt is an east coast guy.  Va Tech would've been a perfect fit.  Maybe he sits and waits for an ACC job.

Georgia Tech is available now if he wants an ACC job.  Better job than Nebraska.  Whatever he decides, he will definitely have a ton of options.

Ruhle’s buyout is over $40M. He’ll wait for a real job, i.e. not Nebraska. He won’t be desperate enough.
