Charlie needs to make a call, Twits, or whatever it is people do these days. The door is open. Level 2, I think.

SignUp Now!Robert Barnes. #1 safety in the state for '17, I believe. Southlake Carroll Dragons.I have no idea what y'all are talking about. Who is this?
Jeffrey OKubdah is #1 safety isn't he?Robert Barnes. #1 safety in the state for '17, I believe. Southlake Carroll Dragons.
I think he's a corner. I've seen Robert listed on various services as the #1 safety. If Okudah is listed as a safety, I would imagine he'd be higher ranked than Robert.Jeffrey OKubdah is #1 safety isn't he?
I'm saying he's always liked Texas and Charlie. He never really gave Texas the due consideration because he wasn't sure Charlie would be around to coach him. Now that it's at least a reasonable possibility, and OU is struggling, I just hope that Charlie strikes up those conversations again. This weekend, I understand he said he'd like to visit Texas again and give it another go.Did something happen or are you saying we should go after him?
You read this thread in its entirety and don't know what it's about? Please don't make me say things that will get me banned here too.It is too bad that those of us, I dare say most of us, who are not in the know, have to read cryptic smoke signals to try to figure out what the hell this thread is supposed to be about.
No worries. I'll pass along what I can about SLC kids.Thanks. I used to spend hours and hours worrying about this recruit or that recruit. In fact, the first UT recruit I followed in high school was Bill Bradley from Palestine, when he was the #1 recruit in the country. I just decided that it was all a big crap shoot, and it was best to just trust the UT coaches to bring in who they needed. My mental health has improved.
Don't know that I agree with your sentiment on this one. I think Reggie will have a lot to say if Texas is the other option.Indeed. Like I told you though, after Obi committed to Texas last year, when Robert was asked what he's going to do now, the comment was some variation of "I guess I'll go to Texas". OU has always been higher on Robert than he's been on them. OU is mom's meatloaf to him. It's delish, but boring. Texas is exciting, shiny, and new.
Who knows what's going to happen with his recruitment, but they're a great family and Robert will be able to decide for himself. No matter how much he'll break Reggie's heart. Ha.

Thanks for your explanation shotime73.I believe what TexasGuy is saying here is Barnes has always been a huge Texas fan where his Dad us an OU legacy. Texas hasn't really pursued him as hard as Okudah. Knowingly Okudah made it loud and clear he wants to go out of state. Technically it is a battle between OU/OSU battle for Okudah services. Having said that it was during that time of Strong's future with the program and it will be interesting to see what Okudah does. Personally you never know with Strong it's a long ways away from NSD and he could probably go after Barnes if he wanted to
I think has but it's only so much talking you can do you have to prove it & if we keep it up I'm sure he'll take a visitI'm saying he's always liked Texas and Charlie. Reggie, Eulanda, and Charlie had a great rapport and the Robert can follow his heart where it leads. Sure, Reggie would love for him to follow in his footsteps, but he loves his son and wants whatever is ultimately best for him. If they decide that's Texas, then that's what it is.
