Quite the contrary. My attitude is that of one who knows the many struggles that other people go through. I understand those struggles and I don't forsake people for those struggles. I've made mistakes in my life, just as most other people have. And I'm fortunate that those mistakes didn't lead to my demise. I'm the furthest thing from an enabler. Being considerate and understanding that people have conditions, isn't being an enabler. I personally helped ween two of my friends off of hard drugs. I did so by showing them how devastating they would be, the impact their deaths would leave on others and then I showed them the potential they had to be something better. What I didn't do, was label them as pathetic or tell them it was simple to get sober. Because it wasn't. It took a lot of work for them to get clean and I'll always hold a massive amount of respect for them because they found the strength to do it. On the other hand, I saw drugs take the life of another friend. And I saw them battle through that addiction before it took their life. I won't speak ill of their name, simply because they couldn't get clean.i have very close personal experience with it. your attitude is that of an enabler.
