RIP Moses Malone: Chairman of the Boards

He was my hero in the 1981 NBA playoffs when he took the Rockets to the NBA finals before they lost to the Celtics. He was recruiting machine and the Rockets didn't have much talent around him. He was a one man team.

I'm not old enough to have seen Moses Malone play. Definitely saw my fair share of highlights throughout the years. Guy was a true baller. Played with a special kind of grace too. Best wishes to his family and friends.

Malone's career

1974–1975 Utah Stars (ABA)
1975–1976 Spirits of St. Louis (ABA)
1976 Buffalo Braves
1976–1982 Houston Rockets
1982–1986 Philadelphia 76ers
1986–1988 Washington Bullets
1988–1991 Atlanta Hawks
1991–1993 Milwaukee Bucks
1993–1994 Philadelphia 76ers
1994–1995 San Antonio Spurs

Malone finished his career with the most combined ABA and NBA offensive rebounds (7,382), 35 percent over runner-up Artis Gilmore. Nine times he led his respective league in offensive rebounds, and five other times he finished in the top-3.[25] He would often rebound his own misses.[25][49] He was a 13-time All-Star, and earned eight All-NBA selections, ranking seventh all-time with 29,580 points, and third with 17,834 rebounds. He is one of just nine players who have been named NBA MVP three or more times. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2001.

I loved watching him play, he was a special talent and will be missed!
I grew up with this on my door, one of my favorite posters of all time.

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this, so I hope ya'll don't mind me sharing it here. Former Longhorn MLB Aaron Harris and family are in need of our prayers now. His mother passed away a couple days ago and he is in town (Dallas) for the services. Aaron and his mother were very close.

Also, today is Craig Way's birthday. He's 122 or something.
