Per Football Scoop, Clay Jennings is expected to become the next Texas defensive back coach. If that comes through the staff looks to be complete. Here are some thoughts about Jennings. His resume is listed below.
2014-Present Secondary Coach Arkansas
2008-2013 Cornerback Coach TCU
2007 Cornerback Coach Baylor
2005-2006 Secondary Coach Houston
2003-2004 Secondary Coach Louisiana-Laf.
As you can see, that is a lot of experience in the state of Texas, and he worked under some very good coaching staffs. Those TCU teams he was on evaluated DB's at a very high level and turned them into draft picks. Jennings was a huge recruiter for Patterson, and he was the reason you saw Arkansas so active in Texas this year. I'll have more later on from Arkansas source on this hire, but if it happens it is good news for Texas fans.
