The Longhorns find out which Regional they'll play in, who they'll face, when, etc in the next hour. The Selection show is on ESPNU, starting at 11am CST.

Here are some thoughts on where the Horns might be headed.

National Seeds

1. UCLA

2. LSU

3. Louisville

4. Florida

5. Miami

6. Illinois

7. TCU

8. Missouri State

The winner of the Dallas Regional plays the winner of the Coral Gables Regional:

1. Miami

4. FIU

3. Columbia

2. East Carolina

About where I felt we'd end up.  A regional with a pretty tough #1, but we could win it if we get on a roll.

College Station winner vs Fort Worth winner in Supers - that's a possible A&M vs TCU matchup.
Ags may not get out of their own region.  Coastal and Cal are not easy outs, especially with the ags pitching staff, or lack thereof.

The complete bracket is HERE.

Florida State vs Florida

RIGHT SIDE OF CWS BRACKET:

A&M vs TCU

Illinois vs Vandy

CS-Fullerton vs Louisville

Did anyone catch the interview with the head of the selection committee after the brackets were announced?  The host asked for the reasoning behind TCU and Missouri State being awarded the last two national seeds over aggy and Vandy.  Not over UH or DBU, or anyone else for that matter.  Basically, why did you screw the SEC out of two more national seeds.

TCU getting a national seed over A&M and Vandy was a head-scratcher. I figured the committee would give Missouri State the seed since they took care of business late in the season while DBU did not.

Was part of the question why Florida and LSU get a top seed and not A&M and Vandy?

Or, why didn't the SEC get half of the 8 top seeds?

Or why isn't the CWS being moved from Omaha to somewhere in the South?

Appropriate answer to the question with deadpan drop sigh delivery... "Good Lord, just give it a break!"

Attention should be on getting to the CWS. Ask seeding questions after you've got a ticket to Omaha. Then you can talk.

Poor aggies. No national seed, have to go through Fort Worth and may have the toughest 2 seed in their regional.

Oregon State will be tough for Texas but I like DBU as the 1.
