Recruiting Updates

Based on my earlier post this is how I see it right now.
Think we get Alex Anderson, Edwin Freeman, Poona Ford, and Chris Nelson.

Think we are leader for Jah'shawn Johnson and Corey Avery, but still too early to tell.

Have some work to do with Solomon Thomas and Demetrius Knox, but are in the game now with coaching hires.

We will get 4-6 of them IMO though.

Why do you think we lead for Avery? I don't think we even want him anymore and he isn't visiting that I know of.

I believe you're thinking of Hoza Scott...he definitely has grade issues.

I'm not sure which reason I value more for wanting Texas to get Myles Garrett:

1.) To see him play for Texas.

2.) To see Aggie react to him leaving for Texas.

Texas may not go after Avery but Blake Munroe of 247 was reporting that Avery was indeed taking a visit to Texas. Maybe that's shifted in the past day.

Edit: I see that Munroe changed on Twitter. Yep, looks like Avery is out.

Hearing Nelson and Ford will most likely commit after taking visits to Texas. Essentially, they are Texas commits as of now just nothing official. Only thing that stands in the way are other visits. If the visits go well at Texas, looking like we get both. Ford has some nice schools he's visiting, so things can always shift.

We are seeing what we should be expecting, which is that on D our recruiting should be solid. The wild card is still what happens on offense. If recruiting on that side of the ball goes well, we may be on to something.
