Solomon Thomas purportedly to Arkansas.
How is that even possible?[/quote

His sister attends Arkiesaw and I think maybe his girlfriend as well possibly.

Porter just can't make up his mind, weren't going to get him anyways I don't think. TCU commit but wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at LSU.

Ryan Newsome Tweet, "It was good to finally meet Coach Shawn Watson today, great guy. #Hookemm".

Have a good shot to land him in 2015 IMO. Attends the same high school as Johnathan Gray, they are a good buds. Gray was repping a Longhorn jersey on the sideline in the Aledo State Championship game this year.

Rivals has him listed as a three-star. I call bs. No way the kid isn't a four-star athlete. Texas would benefit greatly if could start dominating the recruitment of kids out of Aledo.

Yep, he's a 4 star easy. Just go look at his offer list. Barring injury he will be a 4 star by the end of next year. Only reason they have him as a 3 star is probably because of his size, but you can't teach speed and playmaking ability.

Yeah I'm certainly starting to sway far more into the 247 Camp than Rivals. It's a shame how bad their production has dropped in recent years.
You did know that Shannon Terry (Rivals creator) sold the network to Yahoo a few years ago? He then started 247 and cherry picked the guys from Rivals and around the country that he wanted. Rivals has gone down hill ever since.

I'm tired of the guys like Emmanuel Porter. I wish him success and all and I could be totally wrong but some guys seem to be truly torn and others seem more disingenuous. Take Olaka, for example. I think he really wrestled with the decision and then did what was best. Guys like Porter seem like they're just toying with the process. But how would I know, I don't know these kids. Just the perception.

Lakeland Victory Christian defensive tackle Chris Nelson said something on Thursday night during a phone interview that could very well have been foresight into his college football future.

The 6-foot-2, 295-pound lineman, who was committed to Louisville before head coach Charlie Strong pulled up stakes and bolted for Texas, says he is down to Texas, UCF and USF as his final three choices.

When asked to put into his own words what type of player one of those three schools would be getting Wednesday, National Signing Day, Nelson said, "The kind of player who is a motivator. I like to bring a lot of energy to the players around me and I also like to bring that Florida swag."

There wouldn't be much reason to bring Florida swag to an in-state school. Nelson, however, laughed at the suggestion that his comment sounded like he was leaning toward Texas.

"Nah man, it's not like that," he said.

He visited Texas this past weekend and had a great time in Austin. Nelson is one of few Louisville decommits who Strong has actually chased since leaving for the Longhorn State.

"They showed me a lot of love ... made me feel at home," Nelson said.

In return perhaps he'll eventually be showing his "Florida swag."

We need some D-Line beef in the worst way since UT didn't sign a DT in last year's class. Signing Ford and Nelson is almost critical. This is a real position of need.

60% of Arkansas' incoming freshman in 2013 were from Texas and a lot are from the northern Dallas suburbs. A friend's daughter was accepted to UT but ended up in Fayetteville on practically a full ride.
