Recruiting number breakdowns

I think this deserves its own thread, and feel free to chime in. Mike and I are discussing the #s a little bit on twitter. Say we have 20 available scholarships this recruiting cycle, where do you think the needs exist and what the #s actually look like? This is how I think the #s play out.

RB-1

TE/FB-2

OL-3

WR-3

DL-4

LB-2

Safety-1

CB-2

-Mike is saying that Strong wants to take 5 OL this recruiting cycle. I'm not sure this is feasible from a #s standpoint or really needed when you look at the # of scholarship O-lineman we will have next year. 

-To me the only absolutes are we need to take 2 QBs, 2 TEs/FBs, and 4 DL. 

-I'm not sure we really need 3 WRs but it seems like Strong is going after a 3rd WR in this class. 

-Maybe we need a 3rd LB this class? Hard to pass up on some of the elite safeties?

I agree with you on item 1. That said, everything I've heard says Mike will end up being right because Wickline apparently says so.

Agree with the TEs and DLs. Would not be surprised if Buechele is it at QB.

With Strong, there will be 2-3 guys who won't line up with anyone's numbers because they'll just be talents that he won't pass on.

Until we have a home run hitter at TB, we need another TB or two.

Not necessarily true, no. Three who were targets have verballed elsewhere. The Mineola twins are headed to aggy, but I saw them as projects anyway.

utisdabomb12 has stated elsewhere that he feels Texas will be going OOS for OLmen as our state lacks quality this year. I defer to his opinion as he is 10 times the recruiting guru as me.
