Actuall duke it's like sitting in a restaurant in July and fretting the dinner party I'm planning for February will suck.

Accepting your analogy, if your caterer has never put on a dinner party on this big of a stage, you worry until your caterer delivers something tangible to ease your concerns.

My point is that every level of the program needs to get away from the "I got this under control, don't worry" attitude that identified the last four years of the Mack Brown era. The staff in Bellmont has evidently been given a pass by Patterson, so our quota of nonperformance and mediocrity is spoken for. The rest of the program needs to understand that they haven't accomplished anything unless they have delivered tangible results.

I believe things are under control. I also believe the only way the players and the staff can expect to quiet the skeptics is deliver results. If they want to give excuses, go 8-4 and call that excellence, the cow college won't even make them worry about getting an education while they are doing it.

I would think that before you hired that caterer you would have checked his credentials and talked to his other clients before you hired this caterer for such a big event. So we have two options, wait and see what he delivers before we judge him or we can worry ourselves to death and possibly not even enjoy what could be a fantastic meal.

No evidence to support this. . .man has only been on the job a few months. . .in that time he's actually done very positive things and effect impressive change.. .but since is does not fit your confirmation bias. . .you choose to ignore it.    what passes for "logic" in your posts is embarrassing. . . .

Per the players, the standards in Austin have SERIOUSLY changed. . . .clearly that is beyond your grasp . ..  .

You assume that results have to be obtained in a single year. . . .while you are welcome to apply absurd standards.  ..be ready to be mocked for them. . .Rome was not built in a day or a single season . .. and this year, w/l records are not the only standard. . . .

OTOH, you would likely complain if someone handed you a bag of money .. . . .
