Tucker was on campus two weeks ago for the USC game.

Carson Tucker is a 2020 SS/2B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Mountain Pointe High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving froward. Primary shortstop, smooth and easy actions defensively up the middle, shows softness to hands and they play nicely out front, comes through the ball well and stays loose through release, repeats actions and shows instincts, extra step into throws but accurate across, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and gets closed moving into contact; swing plays well in live actions with looseness to hands. Stays short to the ball and creates contact out front with present bat speed and lots of projection; adjusted to spin well in live action and showed comfort working to all parts of the field. Good student. Named to PG Underclass Top Prospect List.

This is a significant commitment IMO. Can play both middle IF positions, wherever there is a need. He will be one to watch on draft day, as he may project high, not sure about a 1st rounder though.
