QB recruit for today 2016 and the future

Yeah I'm impressed. The kid can sling it inside and outside the pocket. I don't have any connections but someone on this board needs to get this kids tape in the right persons hands.

Three Star according to 247. Had a really good arm but I could see some QB coaches being concerned about his throwing motion. Looks like he doesn't have a D1 Offer yet. But definitely really talented. Could find himself getting a D1 offer late or being another one of those touted FCS QB's that gets to pick his school in 2-3 years. But yeah, the fact that the's in Tennessee's backyard and doesn't have an offer yet makes me a little skeptical. Tennessee is typically pretty good at recruiting. Worth keeping an eye on but I doubt Texas gives him an offer. I'm pretty sure we actually promised Buechele that we wouldn't offer another 2016 QB.

Freshman has some potential.

TN has offered his favorite reciever as has Michigan, Penn State, Miami etc. He just played in the TN East West Allstar game threw for over 200 yards and 2 TD's against the best in the state. West coach said he was like Johnny Manzeil except taller, more accurate and without the character issues. Someone is going to get a steal.

As for the freshman, thta is my son. Has been with a QB coach for 2 years now and will be 6'5" or better as I am 6'5" and his mom 5'9". His QB coach says he has Power 5 potential. As his dad I can only say he is pretty damn good at this stage in his developement and will take over for Bunch next year as a soph.

Well I certainly wish them both the best. Give your son some props from Longhorn country. I'm sure he's making you proud.

Thanks for the kind words, he wants to go to a team with a passing offense and has said the Big 12 was a good conference for that. I am just trying to get his name out there because it is obvious that unless you are in one of the big time football states, just being good is not enough to get you noticed.

That is because of the quality of the opposition. With that being said, it's not really about how good you are, it's all about how good you're going to be. Dads and fans aren't paid a truckload of money to know that.

The nashville area on TN now has more than a million people and the competition is much better than it was a few years ago. As far as knowing if my son is good enough, it was not my opinion but the opinion of my sons QB coach, who also coached AJ Macarron, Jake Coker and the starting QB's of 6 other power 5 team, including NC and Miami. I played and coached football but not on the offensive side of the ball. So I depend on others to evaluate him. He is good enough to be the starter next year on the defending state champs as a soph.

You should be proud of your son. It sounds like he is a heck of a high school player. That may or may not translate to success at the college level. Some things are just beyond our control. Your son should be grateful for your efforts to get him noticed. I truly hope that he ends up with a scholarship. We all know how burdensome college expenses are. Best of luck to you and your son.
