Predict TAMU 2014 Schedule

It is amazing how many "UT fans" on this thread have bought into the aggy hype so deeply that they actually think aggy can have a winning season in 2014.
Pick your poison, buy into aggy or buy into the SEC. I take aggy which is an insult to both A&M and the SEC. Why shouldn't a&M win 8 games? They (and Mizzou) have obliterated any previously force fed notion that the SEC is vastly superior to other conferences. Winning 8 games proves 2 things. 1) Aggy still sucks and 2) They suck less in the SEC than they did in the Big 12 (i.e. The SEC is not as special as everyone wants you to think).

Sumlin is a good recruiter no denying that but I question his coaching ability.

Look at the talent he's had in the last couple years. Manziel, Mathews, Joekel, Evans, Swope, Moore, Porter, Michael, etc. He couldn't even finish above 3rd in the SEC West with that type of talent. Wasn't able to win conference USA either. He's always had good offenses, but he's lucked into some great QB's recruited by other coaches. Lets see what he can do with his own recruits. I don't need to say anything about defense, because he's never fielded anything over an average D. I honestly think Sumlin is an average coach and a good recruiter. He might have years where he challenges the elite of the SEC west, but I think most years Auburn, LSU and Bama will run the show.

I don't know why we'd concern ourselves with a prediction about A&M in 2014, but for the record:

Aug. 28 at South Carolina Gamecocks - L

Sept. 6 Lamar Cardinals - W

Sept. 13 Rice Owls - W

Sept. 20 at SMU Mustangs - W

Sept. 27 Arkansas Razorbacks (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX) - W

Oct. 4 at Mississippi State Bulldogs - W

Oct. 11 Ole Miss Rebels - L

Oct. 18 at Alabama Crimson Tide - L

Nov. 1 ULM Warhawks - W

Nov. 8 at Auburn Tigers - L

Nov. 15 Missouri Tigers - W

Nov. 27 LSU Tigers - L

A very mediocre 7-5. Nothing to brag about with that weak OOC. Gag 'Em

Doesn't matter - any wins from the 2014 season will be vacated as part of their sanctions.

Truthfully, I don't much care what agricultural's record will be this coming season, except as it might benefit UT.
This x 1000000000000

What's with the freakin agy threads. C'mon guys. Geeez

Yea I agree about this aggie crap. It would be understandable if they were OU threads since they are in our way to the PLAYOFFS!!

Their last 3 games are against the tigers. At least the milkmen will be able to keep their dumb cheers consistent.

All these recent Aggy commits got me thinking and how they would react after seeing their record come December without JFF, Matthews, Evans, etc. Take a look at TAMU's schedule and predict where they stand at the end of this season. Here's mine:

5-7. I've got LSU, Auburn, South Carolina and Alabama as sure fire losses. I've got MSU and Ole Miss as likely losses. And Arkansas and Missouri as 50/50 losses. Could very easily be as bad as 4-8 next year. Good thing they have Rice, Lamar, ULM and SMU to prop them up.

I pick it the same way you did, above, except I take the W on Rice and make it an L. Rice gave them quite a game last year and will be improved. Aggy, not so much.

I think aggy has a real coach with a real plan.....that is disturbing. Like Sumlin or not, he has been impressive. He did parlay Sherman recruits (JFF, JOECKLE,MATTHEWS, SWOPE,EVANS ETC..) into production.CS has a plan and if given time it will pay off. If you can win at Louisville you can win in Austin. QB play will dictate everything next year.
Ok, you don't have one. So how do you come up with 9-3?

Being 1-2 and losing to Rice would cause an absolute shitstorm for Sumlin. Would be a great spectacle to watch.

I'm close to what you're thinking.....

They should sleep walk through Lamar, Rice, SMU, ULM....Would laugh my ass off if they lose any of these...

Losses are USC, ALA, Auburn, LSU.

Toss-Ups are Arkie, MSU, Ole Miss, Missou. (Give em Ole Miss at home plus get lucky vs Arkie)

Looking 5-7 or 6-6....Hoping for 2-11....would lmao...

Like Chris Carter said C'mon man! Wtf, why are you all so worried about aggie? Lets focus on our program! A few of us sound like the dude who lost the so called... the one... wth?

Because we're losing recruits to them. When you build up a sensational house of cards, it has to fall eventually.

I don't think anyone's really worried about aggy. But like someone said above, they are having a direct effect on our recruiting. I don't think you can just act like they don't exist.

And when the train wrecks - do you not want to just gaze at it as it happens?

We lost recruiting in the 80's and 90's how many natl championships did they win. ..... Zip zero Nada!

And if they like it or not they are little brother to Alabama and LSU now.

F'it lets get over it....

They are still the land were "men are cheer leaders and women are champions"! And... we should want no part of that.

Ok, so you're the one worried about aggy. I could give a rat's posterior whether they ever win a MNC again. But they recruit and get verbals from players I'd like to see come to Texas.

I don't care who they're calling big brother these days. I got over it the day they left. I want no part of their ice cream she males. But their coach takes players from us and we compete for many of the same players.

It's ok to talk about them just like you would about TCU, if TCU were as much of a recruiting problem.

TCU is in our conference big difference. We need to stay Texas proud. They aren't Texas proud they are SEC proud...

I'm not religious at all... but I do know that faith can be a powerful force. My faith is in Texas getting back a couple of recruits are irrelevant.

Texas has taken 1000's of recuits from aggie in last 10yrs how many rings do we have?

Together we are TEXAStrong!

So you don't find it worthy of discussion since that trend has at least temporarily changed in the other direction?
