All these recent Aggy commits got me thinking and how they would react after seeing their record come December without JFF, Matthews, Evans, etc. Take a look at TAMU's schedule and predict where they stand at the end of this season. Here's mine:

Aug. 28 at South Carolina Gamecocks - L

Sept. 6 Lamar Cardinals - W

Sept. 13 Rice Owls - W

Sept. 20 at SMU Mustangs - W

Sept. 27 Arkansas Razorbacks (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX) - L

Oct. 4 at Mississippi State Bulldogs - L

Oct. 11 Ole Miss Rebels - L

Oct. 18 at Alabama Crimson Tide - L

Nov. 1 ULM Warhawks - W

Nov. 8 at Auburn Tigers - L

Nov. 15 Missouri Tigers - W

Nov. 27 LSU Tigers - L

5-7. I've got LSU, Auburn, South Carolina and Alabama as sure fire losses. I've got MSU and Ole Miss as likely losses. And Arkansas and Missouri as 50/50 losses. Could very easily be as bad as 4-8 next year. Good thing they have Rice, Lamar, ULM and SMU to prop them up.

Sept. 27 Arkansas Razorbacks (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX) - 50/50, but I say W

Oct. 4 at Mississippi State Bulldogs - L

Oct. 11 Ole Miss Rebels - L

Oct. 18 at Alabama Crimson Tide - L

Nov. 1 ULM Warhawks - W

Nov. 8 at Auburn Tigers - L

Nov. 15 Missouri Tigers - 50/50, but I say L

Nov. 27 LSU Tigers - L

Rice or SMU is also going to give them a run for their money. Neither will probably win, but I've seen crazier things happen. I think A&M at best wins 3 games in the SEC.

will start the season 6 - 0 and talking National Championship.. will finish 7 - 5

Truthfully, I don't much care what agricultural's record will be this coming season, except as it might benefit UT.

They won't beat South Carolina, especially with South Carolina at home. South Carolina is going to do exactly what LSU did to them this year. Run the ball down their throats. Mike Davis is probably a top 3 running back in the country returning next year. The South Carolina game is going to play out very similar to the LSU game IMO.

Probable Win

Lamar Cardinals

Rice Owls

at SMU Mustangs

ULM Warhawks

Toss Up Games

at South Carolina Gamecocks

Arkansas Razordonkeys

at Mississippi State Bulldogs

Ole Miss Rebels

LSU Tigers

Missouri Tigers

Probable Loss

at Alabama Elephants

at Auburn Tigers

If they have a good season, they win 5 of the toss up games and go 9-3.

If they have an average season, they win 3 of the toss up games and go 7-5.

If they have a bad season, they win 1 of the toss up games and go 5-7.

Therefore, I predict a National Championship aka 8-4.

9-4

I think they struggle at the beginning of the year and their front 7 doesn't hold up towards the end. Therefore:

Aug. 28 at South Carolina Gamecocks - L

Sept. 6 Lamar Cardinals - W

Sept. 13 Rice Owls - L

Sept. 20 at SMU Mustangs - W

Sept. 27 Arkansas Razorbacks (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX) - W

Oct. 4 at Mississippi State Bulldogs - L

Oct. 11 Ole Miss Rebels - L

Oct. 18 at Alabama Crimson Tide - L

Nov. 1 ULM Warhawks - W

Nov. 8 at Auburn Tigers - L

Nov. 15 Missouri Tigers - L

Nov. 27 LSU Tigers - L

4-8

Hard to say without knowing who will be the Qb

Where's the 13th game?

Who are the three losses?

The USC game is one that I might flip, but these are the most realistic picks to me.

8-4 which is terrible. Everyone in Aggieland will think it's banner worthy further highlighting the discrepancy between real programs and mediocre programs.

Agree there is too much Aggie talk around here.

8 wins but the media spins it and makes them seem better than they actually were.

aggy has been riding the false wave of Johnny Football's on field ability and off field hype for the last two years. Johnny Football is gone and aggy will revert to form in 2014. They were 8-4 last year with JFF and would have been 5-7 without him . They were 6-6 in their last year in the Big 12 and they are now in their beloved SEC and every team they play in the SEC can beat them. They may also struggle with one or two of their OOC games. Think Auburn the year after Cam Newton left only aggy was so pathetic that they could not win a championship with JFF. aggy will be 4-8 to 5-7 at best in 2014 and that will be their performance level indefinitely unless they back into another Johnny Football miracle.

All of these naive recruits that are buying the phony aggy/sec hype will discover that they made a terrible mistake and will be stuck with the aggy cult stigma for life.

It is amazing how many "UT fans" on this thread have bought into the aggy hype so deeply that they actually think aggy can have a winning season in 2014.

Being a fan of the University of Texas football program should not be a factor in ones ability to objectively look at a schedule..the picks do not indicate a desire for aggy to do well, it's just an evaluation of the talent they have on their roster vs the talent that they will face...personally I did not watch one aggy game start to finish, that includes the bama game..I'm just not that interested in them unless we are playing them..but the thread was interesting enough to me that I provided my opinion as to what I believe they could do next season..

I think aggy has a real coach with a real plan.....that is disturbing. Like Sumlin or not, he has been impressive. He did parlay Sherman recruits (JFF, JOECKLE,MATTHEWS, SWOPE,EVANS ETC..) into production.

CS has a plan and if given time it will pay off. If you can win at Louisville you can win in Austin. QB play will dictate everything next year.
