doc, a few of these guy's are injury prone.  therefore, since we have not yet played one game of football thus far.. i say let's complete training camp, and play a few games first.  just saying...

You missed the title of the thread.  This is a pre-season list, remember?

And, ye gods, I DID forget about Espinosa and Shipley.

Espinosa -  7th round

Shipley - 5th round

Good list. I'll take a shot:

Malcom Brown (DT) - 1st

Cedric Reed - 1/2

Malcolm Brown (RB) - 4/5

Quandre Diggs - 5

Steve Edmond - 5

Jaxon Shipley - 6/7

The rest go UFA.

This is all based on what I have seen thus far. If the coaches develop the guys like I hope they will, I think we could add a few like Harrison and Hicks.

I think Ship could go higher if Ash stays healthy, and we have a better offensive line than we have had (3rd).  Remember, he doesn't have the injury history that Jordan had.

Hook 'em!

Well, there it is.  We don't need any football gurus to forecast our season for us.

It appears we all agree that, at the very least, we have 6 NFL caliber players and 2-3 of them could be 1st or 2nd round choices as well.  That's almost 1/3rd of the team and it could be more.

How many other Big 12 teams can say this?

So I think it is safe to assume that our season is wholly dependent upon the health of Ash and the quality of our depth.  If we get lucky and make it though the season healthy, then it is not a stretch to say we should be a favorite to win the Big 12, right?

Isn't deductive reasoning wonderful?

Oh, and one other thing, we actually have football coaches running the program now.
