Player media availability today

[Matt Cotcher]

FYI, got a short notice email that UT was making 'select' players available after practice this AM. This isn't a press conference with Strong, so we won't do a live thread. But I should be back early afternoon and will post anything noteworthy.

[Lukus Alderman]

Thanks!

A few more notes:

• Cedric Reed confirmed he went through the NFL draft evaluation process, but said he's really excited about being back. He specifically cited the new staff & the new defense as reasons that he's glad he came back.

• Duke Thomas laughingly acknowledged that Diggs is trying to get him to talk more trash on the field.

• Malcolm Brown says he's down to 218-219.

• Brown also talked about how Texas will have an advantage in the league because they're not "pass happy like everyone else". He's obviously a fan of the new offense.

• Diggs definitely has that Senior vibe. He's taking guys under his wing. He's vocal on the field. He's relaxed in front of the cameras. He gives off the feeling that it's all really coming together for him.

• Reed commented that the OL is "much better in practice than they were last year".He refused to say why and would only offer, "What do you think?" with a smile.

It's great to hear a bit of confidence coming from these guys.

Please be true.

Please be true.

Normally it's pretty easy to tell when the guys are spouting the company line. Reed gave no hint of doing so when he talked about 1-on-1's.
