When Franklin was listed as one of the favorites for the Texas job, this was my concern about hiring him. I was afraid the new coach at UT would be defending himself against a rape cover up.

Same here. I'm wondering if he really was considered at all considering that this investigation was ongoing at the same time.

surely, mr. franklin is a smart enough man, to know that issues like these could easily surface at any point in time.  i would assume that if these alleged alligations are proven... that he had previously notifiled the penn state officials before his hiring.

Too much of a scandal following the JoePa issue. No doubt they knew about the investigation as it was public at the time, but if this turns out to be true then I can't see how they can keep him.
