Pat Healy(OB)

I will bet a sack full of beeehinds and I only have one to pay with if I lose that the decision is made and serious negotiations have begun.
We cannot prove that, but at some point, word will come out.

JMO.

Actually, that is a safe bet. No one wants my beeeehind.

Oh I'm sure Mrs BiggUggly would lay claim to your beeeehind. :)

Patterson isn't going to form a committee of influential people and then tell them to stay out of the process. These were the people who approved his hiring. What would bringing them together then shoving them aside accomplish other then to make them feel Patterson had methodically just given them the finger?
This is true, IMO.

However, all these folks are on the same page with Patterson. They were pretty much together when it began. I understand it's a pretty harmonious thing they have going.

According to JS (today), the committee may not meet again before the new hire. One of the key members is out of town through the bowl game. He thinks that in itself is indicative of where this is.

I would be shocked if these people ever meet during the process. They know each other well and have working relationships, evidenced by the fact the same committee hired Patterson. Conference calls make much more sense.

What is interesting is the we had the exact same committee hiring the AD and the football coach. It has the feel that we might have a new structure in that the athletics dept seems to have a board of directors providing advice and oversight to the actions of the AD. If so, I wholeheartedly approve. As Bellmont gets closer to being the first $200 mil and then $250 mil athletics department in the nation, its scope and complexity calls for deeper resources in decision making.

I believe everyones favorite Chip Brown said the same thing on OB. Discussions of skype and conference calls ensued.
