OU WEEK GAME THREAD

Here's the thing with CJ Vogel, he does a great job but he is a kid - recently graduated from Texas. He doesn't have the experience of his colleagues like Gerry Hamilton and Bobby Hamilton. They both are confident but also understand the history of this game and how things can get turned on their heads.

Despite his age, he has a very good track record. I knew him when I was a member of TFB for a few years. TFB hasn't been the same since he left and I'm no longer a member there.

Bobby Burton could have hired anybody he wanted. He chose Vogel.

I agree, big fan of CJ - just doesn't have the wisdom that comes with age and experience quite yet. Add in the bravado of a 23 year old and you can definitely be overconfident.

Bobby is probably pessimistic to a fault but he has witnessed a lot of heartbreak in his time as well. They balance each other well.

I'm not. You never know in this game. If we play like we should, we win. But it won't be easy. I see the same game as last year but we win.
Quinn has been throwing a lot of quick hitters this year with a few long balls. I would not be surprised to see a three step drop on a fly route on the first drive.

From CJ Vogel today, talking about the Auburn-OU game.

"Auburn is not a good football team, nor is it a good offense. But they still moved the ball for 480 yards against OU. Issues were turnovers, especially the pick six. "

Auburn also got stopped on a 4th and 1 at the goalline and missed a FG to end the 1st half twice (missed, and then missed again after accepting an OU penalty).
