I have two separate predictions on the game:

1. If the defense gets a score, or the Special teams pick up a score (or both), we have a shot.

2. If nothing in item 1 happens, I'm afraid we're in for a long day.

We haven't seen a lot of item 1 yet so I have to go with #2, even though OU will still suck before and after this game.

OU 24

Texas 14

Until we show up with an O that can score, I can't see a win here.

My prediction will be up with the rest of the staff's whenever we post them.

I'm 5-0 on my predictions.

Give me UT 21-17 honk swoopes surprises us a little and d is good as usual and OU SUCKS

My preseason pick the first week of August was 17-16, UT. I don't like to change my picks but I'm seeing 31-17, OU.

Well, I saw enough of the okie vs the toads last week to know they are beatable. Chippy piked the Horns to win on the radio this morning.

I've got to go to bed and know I wouldn't be able to sleep without picking the Horns to beat ou again.

Horns 20 okie 17

Unlike TCU, we have no offense.

Our defense may be better than TCU.....but

OU scored 33 points on TCU even though TCU's offense was good.

Add those facts together, and what do you get ?

A long day in Dallas for Texas.

Our inept offense is worth two touchdowns for OU.

Our defense will get tired and demoralized as they did in the BYU and Baylor games.

OU has a chip on their shoulder and they know they must kick us to get back into the national picture.

After last year Stoops will have them foaming at the mouth.

We will get a FG after an OU turnover early.

We should score late like we did vs Baylor.

Halftime

OU --- 13

UT ---  3

Final

OU --- 37

UT --- 10

I will be in Dallas hoping for a miracle though....

If our OL plays their best game of the year and our QB is not nervous then this is a winnable game. How they will play I will know Saturday afternoon like everyone else.

My main question about Charlie Strong's defense was how he would do against Baylor's spread offense. Until they got tired at the end, they made Bryce Petty look like a true freshman.

Such is the case when the normally high-flying offense posts some un-Baylor-like numbers on that side of the ball. The Bears were held to just 389 yards by the Longhorns and had a measly 111 yards through the air. They also converted just six third downs and completed only seven passes.
