This is a cover group I found that I thought was pretty cool.

They do cover songs mostly a cappella.

Gotta say! Gotta love it! Gotta love that little girl! Sometimes music is just JOY! I also like that in the video, he just keeps on using his shredded bow, even though he could of replaced it. That has gotta be a talisman of some sort!

Different sort of thing bbdude, but definitely worth a listen. I get caught up exploring through listening to stuff like this late at night ... and well ... about two or three in the morning my wife will emerge from the bedroom, shake her head and exclaim, "Come to bed, you doofus!"

Agree totally with your first paragraph. You just can't keep your feet still, it overcomes you. Lots of positive vibes in that music.

If you listen closely, you can hear his voice through that violin.

I have some other movie music reference that I want to add, but it will have to be tomorrow. They will be obscure, and most will say. "???"! But that is the fun of it all, huh? My wife is flying into Austin-Bergstrom against the tide of SXSW people leaving on this Sunday late night, so gotta go fight the traffic!

Holy Cow! You don't get there without the first 2:59! I love Explosions in the Sky. Just goes to show you that music is universal. They come from a rock background, but they speak the same language as jazz, pop, latin, classical, and all the ethnic influences that came before. I could not help respond before I quit for the evening, but I think that you will like what I post tomorrow. Let the "Holy Cow" be the clue! What a wonderful turn of events this thread has turned out to be!

While on the topic of cover bands, check out PostModern Jukebox. They take pop music and turn it old-timey. It's pretty cool stuff.
