OT subject - women

It is interesting, right now JJ is the odds on favorite for Exec of the year. . .

Relondo McClain a top candidate for comeback player of the year.

Murray and Romo strong MVP candidates

Martin might be the 1st OL to win Rookie of the Year . ..and he'd deserve it.  ..

But agree, loved teh old Earlers .. . .

JJ blows a great deal of smoke. . . . .btw, he landed an Omni for his HQ in FRISCO. . .we love it. . .our convention biz has been "land locked" with a lack of high end (we only have one) hotels. . .

JJ's business acumen and deal-making, particularly marketing, are second to none. It's his personnel moves that I was criticizing. It does appear that he's listening to people now - the Cowboys young, stellar O-Line is testament to that.

If he gets the NFL's "Executive of the Year" for finally getting out of his own way, good for him!  ;)

Jerrah was the biggest thing holding them back

It is interesting how quickly the butt hurt hate spun to attacking character at the simple mention of someone being a cowboy fan. . .

Behavior much like our friends in Dead Dog Ville. .  . .

:P

Hey, you could be a Titans fan, like me.  We've gotten to the point of hoping to lose so we can draft Mariota...

Again.

Ironic

What would a Texan fan (or an Oiler fan) know about winning Super Bowls?

Been around for all 5 of Dallas. . .

BTW, we just ROUTED your Division champ and hung 42 on them . . .a team that beat you twice. . .remind me again how you did when you played Da Boys?

We beat the other 2 teams in your conference as well . .. .

Not sure I'd be talking division strength smack considering we own your division. . .

:D

Always funny to listen to the aggies try to spin their lack of hardware . . . .
Being a Steelers fan I am genetically

programmed to loathe the Cowboys. Other than mentioning the 6 Super Bowl titles I will stay out of this conversation . Have always chuckled at the self proclaimed America's team moniker.

It is not self proclaimed it was earned and given to them for being the #1 team in merchandise sales. Plus no other team could incite so much love or hate as they did.

I love the Cowboys, but I did have to take a short break when Jerrah was so disrespectful to Landry. That really made me angry.

Loved Jimmy Johnson and The Triplets & that awesome offensive line. What a team! Got mad at Jerrah again about Johnson. And Barry...

Hope they are finally on track again. How 'bout them Cowboys?

I'll root for the cowboys when JJ is no longer associated with them. If they win the SB, I will have a lot of happy friends and family. Myself? I really don't care.

Not trying to argue, but was that a 1/5/10 year time frame for merchandise sales? I know they probably continue to lead in that respect to this day! How exactly was it earned? Who gave them this title, media? I don't remember voting on this title. Once again as a Steeler fan living in Texas I have to be difficult!
After typing this I had to check the thread topic. Have to laugh and wonder how a thread about women has spun down to me beating the Steelers drum vs the Cowboys! Somewhere Danny White is dreaming of his glory days as a QB/punter in the NFL.

Mike, I think it was the gut who did the NFL films who coined the phrase Americas Team. With Tom Landry as coach Roger as QB and THE best cheerleaders ever, plus I think he mentioned merchandise sold. I will see if I can find more. We should probably move to another thread though cause most women won't like that we took over a thread about then. :)

From Wikipedia - The term "America's Team" is a nickname in the United States that refers to the Dallas Cowboys. The nickname originated with the team's 1978 highlight film, where the narrator opens with the following introduction:

They appear on television so often that their faces are as familiar to the public as presidents and movie stars. They are the Dallas Cowboys, "America's Team"
It originally appeared in the team's 1978 season highlight film.

I think the best cheerleaders part of your post keeps us on the right track to stay on this thread! Thanks for the reply.
