SignUp Now!Definitely better than maroon! But seriously, I like these uniforms. Could have placed them with a better patch of actual green grass under the uniform though for presentation (it is just a tweet and not an advertisement though!).— Twitter API (@twitterapi) November 7, 2011

"However, according to Army regulation 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, the regulation states when authorized for application to the proper uniform, the U.S. flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag's own right."I have always wondered about the directional placement of USA flags on sleeves of sports uniforms and military uniforms. The flag on the right sleeve looks backwards to me, but I realize this is the norm I believe for uniforms. Can anyone enlighten me on protocol here? Thanks!
Thanks for the clarification."However, according to Army regulation 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, the regulation states when authorized for application to the proper uniform, the U.S. flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that “the star field faces forward, or to the flag's own right."

The yellow isn't quite the same, but I love that color combination. Looks much better than Pitt's current navy & vegas gold, IMO.As a PITT fan, love these throwbacks. Dorsett, Ironhead Heyward, Marino...good times. My dad is a PITT grad, my number 2 team.
Thanks for the TD post, He did hit the scene before I was old enough to get involved with football....jumped the gun including him with the other PITT stars from a later time! Good stuff with either selection though. The uniforms with block lettering helmets were supposedly really old school when they came out, but I grew up with the cursive looking script helmets. Wouldn't mind a permanent move to the throwbacks. The yellow isn't quite the same, but I love that color combination. Looks much better than Pitt's current navy & vegas gold, IMO.
