- Connor Williams didn't get the non-contact memo...Dylan Haines got too close on a blitz and Williams destroyed him.
This made my day. There is hope the OL will be much improved over last year.

Marcus Johnson was a disappointment last year, pretty much forgot he was even on the field at times. That's one of the things I'm most worried about going into this year is our ability to catch balls (read: Not drop them). Our most experienced WR is Marcus Johnson who last season has a catch % of 46.5%. That's insanely low. It had a lot to do with his route running but the guy kinda has hands like feet (not saying I could do any better trying to hall in a Swoopes brand bullet). Now I know we have John Burt who from every report, including this excellent report by Matt right here (still jealous of you Matt btw) seems to be a threat to take his spot, but then you talk about the inexperience of John Burt or McNeal. If it's not clear enough I'm very worried about our WRs this year.
Looks like next practice is Sunday morningFirst time poster, love the content.
Quick question, is there a morning open practice today? I can't find info on it. Thanks
As was Simms' and Gilbert's.....Yeah, I know my bias is showing too much!Swoopes' fast ball is on a different level than any QB out there. That guy can hum the rock.
Now this is impressive! Coach's son was puttin' in work!During 11's, Kai Locksley got rep's in the 7th session (after 3 from Heard & 3 from Swoopes). The freshman hit 3/4 targets and corrected people that were lining up incorrectly.
Love this nasty attitude. That's exactly what we need from our OL! We'll probably see a few fights in camp, too. Buckle up!Connor Williams didn't get the non-contact memo...Dylan Haines got too close on a blitz and Williams destroyed him.
Ultimately, I believe CFS is using this as a motivational tool for the upperclassmen to step up.So what are everyone's thoughts on if it is a tie CS will go with the younger player? I think it is a good idea. Ultimately CS will be determining whether it is a tie or a clear cut winner. I also was told of a couple of fights in the locker room. cherry v jinkins. And hill v someone ( I can't remember who). Any info on this would be appreciated
Haha not a chance. If anything it will make the team stronger. When you're out there sweating and competing in the 100 degree weather tension is going to build and tempers are going to flare. Sometimes a good fight can help players gain respect and even trust for each other so that when things get tough in a game they know that teammates won't back down from adversity. So you don't think fighting in locker room will cause tension and ultimately hurt team unity?
Foreman projects well to a Marquise Goodwin role - 3 catches/game that make enough of an impact that the defense focuses on him for 4 quarters.Marcus Johnson was a disappointment last year, pretty much forgot he was even on the field at times.
I have much higher hopes for Money Foreman than I do for Marcus Johnson. Foreman barely played last year and we all saw his long TD catches last year towards the end of the season.
