One of the most annoying things about college baseball

Teams that dogpile after making the CWS.  If you win it all do whatever you want. But come on, don't dogpile after making the final 8 teams. That's the equivalent of a NBA team storming the court and dogpiling after making the conference semifinals. 8th place really warrants a dogpile?

Disagree completely. Making it to Omaha is a big deal. Celebrate your ass off.
Yeah, I'm sure there's difference of opinion on this. I saw this tweet and I couldn't agree more. Top 8 shouldn't warrant a dogpile IMO. Would you see a basketball team storm the court and dogpile after winning a sweet 16 game?

Making it to Omaha is a 'thing'. Celebrating that isn't annoying to me in the least. I know it's cool not to dogpile getting to the CWS at UT, but not every school has our history.

Dogpile away fellas.

Making it to Omaha is a big deal. But if the dog pile is the ultimate celebration then that should be reserved for winning the national championship.

I very much like it that we don't dog pile unless we win it all.

I do, too.

Maybe I'm just old school, but I think this type mentality is part of what makes Texas successful in baseball. Don't dogpile unless you are winning it all. I can see your point, but still not a fan of dogpiling.

By some of y'all's standards we've only had 6 celebration-worthy seasons. And I guess only 3 in football (can't count '70 right?)

Lighten up people.

I don't mind teams celebrating, just don't dogpile. I don't mind guys getting excited like we did after winning the Big 12 tournament.

id say you are.
On this issue for sure.

I just don't think it's something legit programs do. I didn't see the LSU game but from the clips I saw I don't think they dogpiled?

It's not for me to say other teams shouldn't dogpile, they can celebrate however they want. Still don't like it.

So that equals six dog piles. Hope they were quality piles, and there were plenty of clean up bags available. Sidebar, the new SEC anti field storming football mandate. I thought the SEC was supposed to win everything, but a win seems to surprise these fans!

LSU did dog pile..... I think everyone has so far. The biggest issue with a dog pile is there is great risk of injury. I think it was UCLA ( not sure ) who lost a player for the CWS due to an injury when they dog piled several years ago. THAT is the reason its stupid to dog pile BEFORE you win the title. It has nothing to do with tradition for most teams. If you want to risk losing a stud player...go for it. If you don't want to take that risk then don't dog pile.

I've always found it amusing to see teams dogpile for getting to Omaha. It doesn't piss me off or anything, but if you think about it historically, is it fair to place UT's standards in baseball on every program who makes it to Omaha? I always think of that Harvey Keitell had in Pulp Fiction.
