Oh Boy-Chambers and Possibly Watson-

Yeah but go back and look at his body of work as an OC. His accomplishments could rest comfortably on an eyelash. It would be one thing if Watson actually had skins on the wall, but he's never won any awards as a play caller. I just don't get it.
don't let yourself get fooled by the stats. There are way too many things going on to attribute the OC's abilities to the stats on the field. If CS likes working with him that is the most important thing.

You could very well be right. In the end. I respect Strong's decision to choose those he's most comfortable with. But IMHO, he's taking a real risk with someone who not only has little in the way of recruiting ties to Texas, but runs an offensive system that will likely put Texas hs recruits to sleep.

maybe he'll run a different system? Maybe he won't because the offensive system needs to coordinate to the defensive system and that will be CS's choice? Maybe he'll run the same system and kill it with our talent level? Nobody knows

you guys do know there is a difference between up tempo and spread right..

This is why I don't have confidence in Watson...This is the Big 12 (spread conference) Texas kids grow up playing 7 on 7. Lets look at his record at Louisvile. Seven (7) of the teams beaten had losing records. Six of those teams had 3 or less wins for the whole season. The Memphis Tigers had a 3-9 record for the season and Louisville only beat them by 7 points 24-17.Please tell me what Texas ties he has. If Coach Briles comes into a recruits house or Watson who is that recruit more than likely to choose. Feel that Strong will be great for the defense and a change in culture But lets get real. Do any of you remember the Greg Davis days when the offense stunk and the boo birds rang out all over the stadium. Scoring 2-3 touchdowns a game to me is not exciting. Two of Watsons play calling against Texas was horrible including a 70-3 loss .NO Watson.

Since it appears Henson is not coming thing about Kyle Shanahan...read post that in 4 out of six years in NFL was in top ten in offense. Texans had great years with Shanahan,

As positive as we all are now on Strong, when it went down the majority were not excited. I would expect the same results with the rest of the hires at this point.
