****Official Texas vs UNLV Baseball Game 3 Thread****

Cantu - up 3-0, pitcher fights back to full count. Hard grounder to first, throws to second for the fielder's choice. 2 outs, runners on the corners

Kacy Clemens - another full count for this pitcher (now at 88 pitches), solid RBI single to center, drives in another run.

5-0 Texas, 2 outs, runners on the corners

Pitching change for UNLV

Interesting matchup here

New pitcher for UNLV is Chase Maddux (son of Greg, HOF and my personal favorite pitcher of all time, 8th all time in victories) faces Kody Clemens, son of Roger (9th all time in victories). Great stuff

Maddux vs Clemens - ahead on a 1-2 count, high curve ball gets Kody to ground out to 2nd to end the inning. Maddux wins this battle.

5-0 end of 5th, 2 runners LOB.

Looks like Kennedy on the bump for UT

Lots of pitchers getting some reps this weekend

New pitcher for Texas: Freshman from Tampa, FL Nick Kennedy

Pool - groundout to short, fielded nicely, easy play. 1 down

Ames - grounder to the right of Kody at second, manages to go 5 hole right between his legs. E4 puts the runner on 1st

Yaz with the 'stache - magnificent 'stache, not quite Tom Selleck, but definitely very respectable.

Anyway, missed where it went, but Kennedy gets Yaz to fly out, 2 down

Next batter squeaks a single between first and second. 2 down, runners on first and second.

Parker Joe Robinson and Morgan Cooper (might make his comeback today) up in the pen

Nick Rodriguez (son of Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez? I kid) - K swinging on a caught foul tip.

Heading to the bottom of the 6th, score stays 5-0, Texas

On observation, Tres is doing great work behind the plate tonight. Has prevented multiple would be wild pitches, easily threw out a would be 2nd base thief. He's doing work today

Maddux still in for UNLV, bottom 6th

Rand - swings and misses at a dangerous chest high hanging breaking ball. 1 down

Jones - pulls a soft grounder to third, throw is just in time for the out. 2 down.

Gurwitz - first pitch lofted to right for the easy put out. 3 down, 5-0 Texas.

Not on YouTube yet, but Coaches Strong and Smart star in a new LHN commercial that I thought was pretty good!

LHN is awesome. Waiting to takeoff.

Good to see Cooper out there.

12th arm used this weekend. I'll be surprised if Cooper doesn't end up a starter once he gets fully healthy.
