I will say this, I think we will be fine in conference play. When you look at this years pre-conference schedule, we played three really good offenses and I can see steady improvement by a young defense over the three games. While we still have a ways to go, the defense kept us in it enough to allow our offense to go to work. There are going to be a handful of offenses as potent as Cal's in conference play. And we didn't really give up to many explosive plays. On offense, I can't say enough how much I am liking the changes over the last two weeks. The best part is, we are playing around 20+ freshman on this team. The future is definitely bright!!!
P.S. Maybe we should go find a freshman kicker in one of these south american soccer countries. Our aussie punter seems to be doing ok.
