North Shore vs. Trinity Euless - Wickline is here

I'm here at the North Shore vs. Trinity Euless game.

Couple of quick notes:

Wickline is here. Talked to him for a few moments. He's been busy scouting JUCO players yesterday and will continue tomorrow (he is attending the Kilgore and Navarro games ).

He had some great things to say about Tyler Moore. He's here to see Moore and Vahe (and Tristian Houston).

The rain has cleared and it looks like it might be a decent night for football.

Patrick Vahe doesn't let anyone get past him. He has tremendous strength.

After one quarter North Shore leads TE 7-0. North Shore is looking really good on both sides of the ball.

Trinity Euless ties it up 7-7 on a short TD run.

The Mustangs missed a field goal with 4:45 left before the half.

North Shore ended up losing to Euless 29-21.

I was at this game in the 2nd half and it was awesome. Euless offensive line was the difference in the end.

I think Maciah Long may be able to play Qb on the college level. He has a very big arm and moves well. He even played some WR.

Vah is a grown man. Once he gets locked up its trouble. He needs to work on getting to the next level but he is a nasty joker.

Tyler Moore is huge and plays with a lot of energy, he played guard and even came in to play some DT

Houston isn't flashy but he seems like he can be a Selvin Young type back. Does everything right and have a solid career.

The Selvin Young comparison is a good one.  Houston was steady tonight. 

I was impressed with Macia Long as well (and all the North Shore fans are too).  He's just a junior but he can throw AND he can run.  

Tyler Moore seems to be getting better by the day.  He lost all that weight and is much "shiftier" now than he was at 330 lbs.  You watch that kid play and you cannot help but be impressed with how hard he plays EVERY single down.  He's make a good center prospect too.

That excites me. Young was a RB who was great catching the ball out of the backfield. Hope we get a little of that back with Houston.
