Actually, Tceh thinks this will boost recruiting and brand.
Their thinking is rich, especially boosting their brand. Everyone knows their recruiting is the result of Cody's billions. He really improved their brand with his performance on the Pat McAfee show. LOL How anyone can keep a straight face of saying moving from Stanford to tt's academics and living in Lubbock was an upgrade is beyond me.

Texas Tech fans really think the criticism is because people are just afraid of them.
😂
Same team that couldn’t score one point in the CFP by the way.

NFL decided to not have supplemental draft. According to Adam Schefter, NFL doesn't have time to vet Sorsby and realistically, the NFL doesn't want anything to do with a possible gambling issue (yes, I know NFL has three betting partners). Per Schefter, Sorsby might have a chance in the 2027 draft.

No NFL Draft

That's tough for him. I assume that puts him in no man's land for a full year. After a year, who knows if any NFL team will want to take a chance at that point.

Pretty brutal response.

If he's smart he will accept this sort of punishment and work towards being a player that teams will feel comfortable investing in next yearm

Someone connect the dots for me please...
So there is no way Tech can change course and still claim Sorsby will play? Or did the Big12 decision take care of that?

I think it is possible for Sorsby to return to Tech as he already has a court order working for him there.

Big 12 has not dropped their lawsuit so this could get interesting.

Everything I've read and heard state that going back to Tech isn't a option. It seems they cut a deal, Tech will still pay his NIL, and frankly they don't want him back now. Fighting the Big12 in court was not a prospect they wanted. Plus didn't he vacate that order right before he announced he wanted the enter the supplemental draft. The next option his lawyers want seem to be to sue the NFL believe it or not, claiming its some kind of violation of the CBA. However legal folks say this is flimsy because 1) he isn't in the CBA because he hasn't been drafted, and 2) the NFL By-laws say the NFL can choose to hold a supplemental draft or not (its up to them). Plus frankly suing the NFL, when you want to play in the NFL, seems pretty stupid So the speculation is he will wait it out, stay in shape and practice with some team (maybe even TT), and enter the 2027 NFL draft
