Someone please give me a good reason why we did not offer him/go all in on him? He was interested in UT... Dear lord the QB misses are unreal for us

We did offer him. He chose to go to a real coach where he could earn the job instead of being jerked around in the McCoy/Ash circus. Brewer was also in the mix at the time.

Don't forget about Beau Wallace the year before. Remember he was all set to come visit and then we told him not to all of a sudden. He's nothing super special, but I'd take him over Case.

Marshall was a massive miss. But that's par for the course for this staff. Our QB decision making has been so bad there really aren't words to describe it. Whether it's changing offenses from what fits 5-star QBs, to basically running off backups, to just not even recruiting guys or recruiting guys to different positions the decisions have just been mind numbing. I don't even feel like rehashing the mistakes and bad choices that Mack Brown has made over the years, but there have been some major head scratchers.
