I don't like being the type of person that celebrates a guy losing his job. I have to admit that this makes me happy though. Goodbye Mad Dog, I will not miss you leading the team on to the field on game day. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Florida is reportedly interviewing UCFs OL coach today. So Searles may not be a done deal like some thought. I wouldn't mind keeping Searles.

Wickline would be a grand slam hire though.

Not sure on Wyatt. He was not highly thought of while at A&M.

Heard Searles was a lock to Florida, then he was wanting to stay here, now hes probably gone again? Another one Im "meh" on. I think hes good at what he does, but better can be had.

Mad Dog being out of here is a fantastic thing for Texas. Im sorry, but a fat guy should not be a strength and conditioning coach.

hmm..not sure how I feel about that. If Strong likes anything besides one-on-one coverage, it will be a struggle. But then again, D' is the man's specialty, so I guess we just gotta trust. Just hope he isn't holding onto Duane mainly for familiarity with the program and state (recruiting)

Akina is a bit meh. However it will be interesting how his group fairs within a functional defense again. My biggest concern is still the tackling.

"Meh" is exactly the word I was looking for when I thought about Akina staying. Akina's DBU graduates haven't been all that impressive of late.

The main positives on holding onto Akina revolve around 1) Jamal Adams recruitment & 2) It's nice having Jammer, Earl Thomas, Vaccarro, Vasher, A Ross, etc. all back on campus during the summers for recruiting and player development and we know that has a lot to do with Akina.
