I'm going to pin this thread and update as new coaches are hired and talked about.

Strong has now filled every position outside of OC and WR coach. There will only be one more coach hired so there could be some changes in titles. As I hear about those I will update. If you click on any of the coaches names, their bio will be linked.

Right now, it's confirmed that Strong will be bringing two coaches, his strength coach and his football operations guy with him. If you click on any of the coaches names, their bio will be linked.

This is excellent. Thanks for starting and updating this thread. Hook'em.

Bedford apparently is in play for the Lousiville HC gig, but will come if that doesn't pan out.

What is Suddes present position with UT....does he stay or go
Suddes is Director of Player Personnel. Would have to think he would stick around, but that's up to Strong.

Snow is taking Arthur Johnson's position.

Any chance Arthur takes a different position? He would help a ton with the transition.

I hope Arthur Johnson stays in some position.........Arthur has a lot of knowledge in football operations.

Since the last time Texas hired a new coach, I was still at UT and probably inebriated (drunk) :) ... What is usually the timing of hiring assistants in such cases?

The college football coaches convention starts tomorrow so it will give Strong a major chance to interview and talk to coaches.

Doubtful Bedford gets the UL job. But if he were I doubt Gray gets a look. No ties to Strong and it's said CS generally hires people he knows or has worked with.

McPhaul posted this last week:

"We also learned that Arthur Johnson (Head of Football Operations) is being retained. Keep in mind that Johnson is the guy that replaced Cleve Bryant and may be serving as a advisor to Steve Patterson as he navigates process and procedure at Bellmont. Patterson may be leaning on Johnson to help as a map reader. Keeping Johnson makes sense because the new Head Coach at Texas is going to need someone that is a map reader and can show the new Coach the ropes. I hear nothing but good things about Johnson so keeping him around stands to reason. The new coach may eventually bring on his own Head of Football Operations and Johnson move to another position within the AD serving Patterson. The bottom line is that we are going to make the transition for the Head Coach as smooth as possible."

Not that it wasn't assumed but Jeff wanna be maddog is gone or good finally. First one cut from what I was told.

I think most of us know, from experience, what inebriated means.

Well damn. What will we do now? Our strength and conditioning program will go to shit now. (lots and lots of SARCASM there)
