In a new book — “The Transformative Years at Kansas State: The Years of President Jon Wefald from 1986 to 2009†— Wefald alleges that a controversial decision to prevent “non-qualifiers†from being admitted to Big 12 schools was implemented by former Texas president Robert Berdahl strictly to bring down Nebraska.

I believe the most damaging thing Texas did to Nebraska was going 9-1 head to head including 2 Big 12 title game wins.
I really wish DeLoss Dodds would write a book about his years as athletic director at UT. That would be a fascinating read. I can hear the whining in Collie Station already...

So let me get this straight, in the last 2 days, The University of Texas at Austin was the cause of the Baylor fiasco of monumental proportions and the end of the line of success at Nebraska cause they couldn't bring in partials anymore. Man oh man, the burnt orange must be part of the illuminati or something.

Don't forget that Tech folks think the LHN caused A&M to leave the conference and we are nothing but greedy bastards, ou thinks the LHN is going to cause the conference to break up, ags think the LHN was the reason they left, and the folks in the PAC think we held them hostage with the LHN and that's why we are not in their conference today.

I think global warming, the devalued dollar, recession, national debt, ISIL, The Taliban, world hunger and the ultimate failure of social security for the majority of us is also the fault of The University of Texas.

In the next few years, there will be another book by a Baylor person blaming us for Art Briles' exit.

Damn, if you listen to my wife, I never knew me and The University had so much in common.

* ISIS, you hippie  ;)

We all know aggy is full of shit, too, because they only used LHN as political cover. Tech should be happy they're still in a P5 league, OU is about to learn a hard lesson at the Big12 meetings, and who cares what the PAC thinks?

nebraska

longest whine in recorded history.

question i have is that now they've found a haven that allows them their patented recruiting advantages, how long should we expect before dr osborne has them back on top?  at least i assume they have their advantages back.  else why keep whining?  whine at the new place if they don't allow it.

I remember an article years ago when several UCLA players were talking about Nebraska players not seeming to be as strong as they were the previous years. Of course, that was right after the NCAA started testing for steroids. Nebraska was not as clean as they led people to believe. Dr Tom proved that when he let Phillips play in that bowl game.

Oh and one more thing, what joeywa said.

How do we manage to do all of these things, support the #1 ranked public university in the country, and actually make money so we can donate money. Where do we find the time and energy?

Hook 'em!

Nebraska was really the first team to build up their football facilities and have NFL-like training (including steroids, apparently).
