Much obliged beevomav. Looks like DGB is heading to Missouri but no worries - the Longhorn staff have crushed everything in sight this recruiting season and the 2012 class is STACKED. Kudos to Mack Brown and company for gunning it until the end. It paid off this year. HOOK'em HORNS!

Don't expect any surprises, good or bad. Texas has 6 enrolled and 21 verbals. Coach Brown is informing all his recruits it is important he have all their commitments faxed to his office by 10:00 AM.

Per multiple reports on Twitter, LSU commit Torshiro Davis will make his decision at 10:30 am CST and it seems that Texas still has a chance.

The talk was he was committing to UT, now Texas has a chance..Yawn!

AUSTIN, Texas -- Four-star defensive end commitment Torshiro Davis (Shreveport, La./Woodlawn) has switched his commitment from LSU to Texas. He had been committed to the Tigers since Feb. 3, 2011.

Davis (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) is the No. 12 defensive end and No. 77 prospect overall in the ESPNU 150.

The Longhorns have long been on Davis' radar because of the relationship he has with Texas defensive tackles coach Bo Davis. The two met at an Alabama summer camp the summer going into Torshiro's sophomore year when Bo Davis was the Crimson Tide's defensive ends coach.

The two have maintained a close bond since then, as Torshiro has always appreciated to straightforward approach Bo Davis has given him.

However, this decision comes as a surprise if you consider that Bo Davis called former Woodlawn coach DeCarlos Holmes to cancel a scheduled in-home visit on Jan. 23.

"He's going to LSU," Holmes told HornsNation. "The coach said they're not going to waste any more time and they're going to let him honor his commitment&Basically they're not going to keep trying to beat a dead horse."

Apparently, though, Texas was in the running all along. The Longhorns long pursued Davis despite his LSU pledge, getting him to make an official visit in December, and the relationship built by the two Davis' paid dividends.

Davis became the fourth player since Saturday to switch his non-binding verbal pledge to Texas. Dalton Santos (Van, Texas/Van) switched over from Tennessee. Daje Johnson (Pflugerville, Texas/Hendrickson) flipped from TCU and Bryce Cottrell (Plano, Texas/West) switched over from Oregon.
